ORDERING CUSTOM BADGES:…
Custom design badges cost about the SAME amount to produce as STOCK design badges. The ONLY material difference is the die charge to stamp the badges with. Custom dies, with a sufficient quantity ordered initially are done at NO CHARGE. Smaller initial orders have die charges that range between $1000.00 to over $2500.00 depending on the complexity of the design.

The CUSTOM badges we have produced for Davie Police Department, Lighthouse Point Police Department, US Attorney's Office, Broward County School Police, and the Department of Diplomatic Security Services are all made from CUSTOM dies.

The badge production die is designed from the artwork our artist prepares from your concept. We have used architectural icons like:
  • The "Hillsborough Inlet Lighthouse" with the "starburst" emanating from the lighthouse part of the design for Lighthouse Point Police Department badge.
  • The new Davie Police Department building for the Davie Police Department badge.
  • A "stylized" little red school house with the "starbust" emanating from the belltower of the little school for the Broward County School Police Department.
Virtually ANY photo or drawing can be incorporated into the design.

Many custom badges do NOT include a badge "center seal". We can incorporate the "state seal" or the "great seal" of your state as seen in the Davie Police Department and Broward County School Police designs.

The artwork phase of a custom badge design takes anywhere from 5-20 days…depending on what we are presented with concept wise. Once the design is approved, the die work starts.

The dies are hand produced by craftsmen and women that have backgrounds in fine detail die work. MANY of these craftspeople learned at the knees of the folks that design the dies for the coins in your pocket…and it shows. The die work part of the design takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks, again depending on the complexity of the approved artwork.

All edits are performed at the "ink & paper" stage of the design. We produce and deliver a "production sample" for final approval to ensure that the die we created is faithful to the artwork it started from. This is a "confirmation" piece. ANY changes required because the die is NOT faithful to the artwork, is at our expense. ANY changes requested that weren't a part of the approved art is cheerfully done, but at YOUR expense.

On final approval, we start making badges. EACH badge is struck, enameled, plated, polished and then shipped. NORMAL production for badges is 4-6 weeks. The minimum order for ANY rank, ANY plating option, with ANY rank and panel engraving is ONE.

` Precious metal plated, full color enamel, custom engraved badges like the Lighthouse Point PD, Davie PD and Broward School PD badges cost ABOUT $60.00 - $90.00 depending on the final specs involved in the finished product.


ORDERING CUSTOM PATCHES:…
Custom patches are available in your choice of 100% embroidered and "twill' background cloth templates.

One hundred percent embroidered patches have a RICHER look to them, but also have a RICHER price to go with the look.

Twill background patches are the most cost effective option, and special additional detail can be achieved for fine details when sewn against the twill as opposed to sewing against a stitched background.

Patch prices depend on three factors:
  1. total size
  2. total stitch count (100% vs. twill background)
  3. total quantity
We can produce as few as 50 at a time…(really there is NO minimum, but the price per patch at lower quantities is VERY high.)

The patch can be ANY size, ANY shape and can have gently marrowed borders or crisp laser cut edges.
