Kokopelli Traders, Inc. was started in Plantation, Florida during fall of 1994 as a supplier of basic law enforcement equipment and supplies. We branched out to serve the Fire-Rescue service and haven’t looked back.
Our specialty is CUSTOM. Anyone with a business card, phone number, FAX number, email address and website can purchase merchandise from a manufacturer and resell it as a distributor. We decided early on to be a SPECIALTY supplier…to provide the UNIQUE and SPECIAL to those that were inundated with the mundane.
We brought in a very gifted free hand and computer literate artist to assist in taking simple pencil sketches or stick figure drawings and translating them into works of art.
Our work speaks for itself. We have designed and produced award winning custom badge designs. Our patch work for the Federal Agencies WORLDWIDE, (yes including forces working in Afghanistan and Iraq), is sought after by all those that see it.
Our processes are simple.
We moved our sales offices to Weston, VT in October 2005. We still have embroidery and screen printing production in the Fort Lauderdale area and now have a second production facility in Manchester Center, VT. Most badge and specialty products are drop shipped from the factory, and your embroidery and screen printed garments will be shipped from one or both production facilities.
We are a small operation of dedicated professionals, each with a job to do and each with the knowledge that years of experience has brought them. You deal exclusively with the owner(s) and your orders are followed from inception to delivery by ONE person that has COMPLETE knowledge of your project.

- We take badge designs and turn them over to expert craftspeople at V.H. Blackinton for translation into metal and enamel.
- We take challenge coin designs and turn them over to expert die making and die striking craftspeople at several different factories of currency quality die struck/ full hard enamel coins.
- We take lapel pin designs and turn them over to the same expert craftspeople at these same factories for creation of jewelry quality lapel pins and recognition awards.
- We have a similarly gifted embroidery digitizer. The digitizer is the person that translates our art into needles and thread creations. Start with great embroidery digitizing, and you end up with great embroidery and patches.
- The direct embroidery and patch embroidery equipment we use is "state-of-the-art". With a combination of 15 head, 12 head, 4 head and single head Tajima equipment, we are able to fulfill single unit or thousand piece orders with the SAME low pricing.
- Our artist is able to output transparency grade graphics for screen printing. Once again, both the manual and automated screen printing equipment we use is the latest technology. Screen print minimums start at 12 pieces. We can do fewer…it just costs a little more.
- Finally, the promotional products industry connections we use allow us to design and produce interesting, creative specialty products like coffee mugs, lanyards, portfolios, balloons, pens, pencils, etc., etc., etc. The agencies that turn to us for their custom badges and embroidery receive the same high quality, fast production for the items they use for their Officers, Deputies and Special Agents. In addition they are able to procure the items they stock in their COP SHOPS and provide at open houses and public safety meetings.
